The spring break was around the corner. I and my best friend Mia had bough the ticket for Portugal.
We arrived in Porto, where we stayed a few days. First of all, Porto is a seaport town, with little sreets and many monuments and churches.
I can't say much more about Porto as a place to visit because it was our last minute decision and we hadn't had much time to find out any information and be prepared for the city trip.
However, I recommend you to taste a Portuguese dish: Francesinha. It's a sandwish that is filled with four different meats, coverd in Cheese and drowned in sauce. The sauce is a big secret. No one can say more that the fact that the sauce's base is normally a beer.
After Porto, we took a bus to Lisbon. In my opinion, it's a less interesting city.
Lisbon is famous for the small yellow trams and the best aquarium in the world.
The trams are really cool! They are really small, but with great history. But what about the aquarium? I didn't like it. The Monaco aquarium is much better. The Lisbon aquarium is a small builing full of people. There were no enough places to sit and quietly watch the fish.
I like Sintra more. It's a small city, which is located in the West, 30 minutes from Lisbon.
Sintra is full of the history and has delightful places ti see: Quinta da Regaleira, Palacioda da Pena, Castle of the Moors etc.
So, if you don't have a lot of time, then spend it in Sintra, the place of mystery.
