The scariest moment of my life!

One of my scariest memories happened to me when I was a teenager. At the age of 14, I used to live in Siberia. At that time, people had to be more cautious there because of many rowdies and toughts on the streets.
However, It just turned out that way that I have always been a friendly and calm person, So, I have never had to fight with anyone or to give pain to anyone. Additionally, my parents always told me only to use force in cases of desperation.

Anyway, my story started one day when I came back from school. I was walking on a gloomy pathway between two edifices when, all of a sudden, I encountered a small batch of boys.

One of them stopped me and asked me whether I was carrying any money with me. I responded that I didn't have any chicken feed with me. The boys exchanged glances and asked me some more questions: Who do I live with? Have I got any money at home?

What beats me is why I answered those guys. I said I lived with my parents and I knew where my parent's money was.

Then, they asked me one more question. In my opinion, it was the main question of our dialoque: Who is at home right now? I answered that my parents were working and that no one was at home at that moment. However, I was lying the guys. I was pretty sure that my grandmother was at home and she was waiting for me on the balcony. She always greeted me from there when I came back from school. It's a kind of our tradition. So, when I held back the truth, I hoped that it would be my chance to get away from the hooligans when I'd say 'hello' to my grammer.

Afterwards, when they heard that nobody was at home, I could see the sprakler in their eyes! They asked me to show them the way to go home and I did. I remember when we walked to my house I was still thinking about the next movements. What should I do? Should I run like wind? Or should I just cry out?

Fortunately, I saw some beefed-up boys in front of a boxing gym and I pointed them out to one of them and said: 'Look! There is my lovely brother'. By the time, I finished my sentence, the hooligans had run away!

It's been long time, althrough the faces of those guys had been immortalised in my mind forever. However, when I think back about this story, it always brings a smile to my face!
