First of all at home I learned out information about Copenhagen. It is the city of the exiting canal tours and also the city of the famous Freetown Christiania! I booked the bus ticket to Denmark and I went there to check it myself.
November 1, I arrived at Copenhagen bus station and I noticed a lot of bikes on streets. I guess there were more bikes than in Amsterdam. However, Copenhagen is the best "bike city".
From the bus station I went to see the famous Little Mermaid. During my way I was taking some good pictures of the city.
This statue is very popular in whole world as a statue of Liberty in US. This mermaid is a personage from the fairy tale by Hans Andersen.
Near this monument. I walked around the Copenhagen Citadel and the Gefion Fountain. The citadel is now used as a pleasant park.
I also visited the Danish Museum of Art & Design where I didnt' really understand the Art. It was a little bit boring. It is a free museum for young people ( -26 years ). So if you are younger than 26, go ahead!
If the weather is nice, you should take a sightseeing boat. "The grand tour of Copenhagen" costs just DDK 80 and it takes 1 hour. During the tour you can see the beautiful harbour and canals of Copenhagen. I didn't do it because it was a cloudy day.
